In a surprise post-Game Awards move, Larian Studios released Baldur's Gate 3 on Xbox Series X/S, marking the acclaimed RPG's debut on the platform. Despite challenges, the Xbox version went live right after the ceremony.

Since its 2023 release, 1.3 million players have completed the game, with impressive in-game stats such as 8,196 years spent in the character creator and 84 million fireballs cast. A substantial November 3 update added game modes, an engaging epilogue, and even some unexpected features.

Originally on PC and PS5, Xbox release faced delays due to technical hurdles on the Series S. While split-screen co-op is exclusive to Series X, Series S users still get online co-op, cross-save with Steam, and all updates, including the recent epilogue with 3,589 new lines of dialogue. Baldur's Gate 3 continues to captivate, now reaching the Xbox community.
