What are the Leagues in League of Legends?

At the start of a new season in LoL, players begin without a league and collect points without being placed in a league for a specific number of matches. Previously, the number of pre-placement matches was 10, but it has been reduced to 5. Once players are placed in a league, they need to accumulate 100 points to participate in the promotional series to advance to the next tier. The promotional series comprises three matches for all leagues except the first tier. When players reach the first tier, they must participate in a five-match series to advance to the next league.

The current League of Legends ranking system consists of the following leagues:
