Palworld: From a Great Rise to a Great Fall

Once a sensation that attracted great interest worldwide, Palworld has experienced a significant drop in player numbers. The number of players in the game has fallen to around 23 thousand. This means a loss of nearly 99% compared to the highest concurrent player count.

The Rise of Palworld

Officially released in January, Palworld quickly began to sweep Steam and the gaming world. The game, which came to the agenda with “Fake Pokemon” claims and divided the gaming world in two, had also reached concurrent player numbers expressed in millions. The game, which made a big leap with this wind, lost its old momentum as it came to the spring months.

The Fall of Palworld

Palworld, which once had a player count of 2.1 million, fell to 23 thousand players last night. This number does not seem like a sufficient number to stand out even among indie games, let alone AAA productions. It is not surprising that the production, which broke CS’s record a few months ago and was discussed whether it could break PUBG’s record, loses its players.

The Future of Palworld

In this open-world multiplayer game where we catch creatures called “Pal” and use them in fights or production, the game is now “finished” in the eyes of the players because the game has an accessible end. Players who manage to reach this end naturally prefer to give new productions a chance. Palworld, which has reached the highest player count of 2.1 million, has regressed to the lowest player count of all time today with a player count that has fallen to 23 thousand according to SteamDB. This means that Palworld’s player count has dropped by 98.88%.

Palworld was a great interest for a period and had millions of players. However, the large drop in player numbers raises question marks about the future of the game. Still, Palworld still has a loyal player base and may be able to increase its player count again with future updates. After all, the gaming world is constantly changing and no game’s fate is certain…
