In a recent announcement, Firaxis Games reached out to the Sid Meier's Civilization VII community to thank them for the feedback they have provided so far during the Advanced Access phase.
The team emphasizes the importance of player opinions and announces that they will prioritize several improvements and new features based on this input.
The developers are working to make the UI more intuitive, improve map readability, and fix formatting issues.
Some of the most requested features will be implemented in future free updates, including:
- Introducing teams in multiplayer for cooperative play.
- Enabling the maximum number of players in multiplayer in all three ages through refinements to the Distant Lands system.
- Option to select the start and end age to enable single or double age play.
- Providing a greater variety of map types.
- Ability to customize city and religion names.
- Introduction of hotseat multiplayer.
Quality Improvements: Patch 1.1.0, set to release in March, will include various improvements and bug fixes, including:
UI adjustments.
Ongoing balance adjustments and AI improvements.
Diplomacy and crisis adjustments.
Other bug fixes.
Firaxis Games emphasizes their commitment to supporting Civilization VII for years to come and encourages players to continue sharing feedback via the Steam discussion forums or the official Civilization Discord server.
