What's Up With Ubisoft?

As everyone knows, Ubisoft, one of the leading names in the game industry, recently shared another postponement news. Yes, we say it once again because Ubisoft shared that it has postponed its game called Skull and Bones for the 6th time. Although it says that it continues to develop some of its games after the games that have been postponed one after the other, after the canceled and trashed productions, we can say that Ubisoft has entered a period of regression. During this recession, CEO Guillemot used the following statements in the e-mail he sent to his employees;

“I need all your effort and dedication now more than ever to get us back on the path to success. In order to be as effective and simple as possible, I also want each of you to pay special attention to your spending and projects. You have the drive to complete this program on time, to the required quality standard, and to show everyone what we can do.”

After this e-mail, Solidaires Informatique's Ubisoft Paris branch stated that Guillemot blamed this situation on its employees and directed them to overtime. Upon this situation, the employees also stated that they were preparing to strike. The demands of the employees are as follows;

• 10% increase in all salaries due to inflation,
• 4 days a week working time and improved conditions,
• Transparency regarding the evolution of local and global workforce,
• The prevention of covert layoffs and the resolution of mismanagement policies.
