A New Sentinel Is Coming to Valorant: Deadlock Scene!

Riot Games is bringing an exciting update to the popular tactical first-person shooter game, Valorant. The 23rd agent, Deadlock, will provide players with new strategic opportunities. This new agent will be playable in the game starting with the release of Episode 7 Act 1 on June 27, 2023.

The game developers released an official gameplay trailer on June 24 to introduce Deadlock to the players. The video provides hints about Deadlock's abilities and gameplay.

Valorant New Agent Deadlock !

Deadlock is the newest agent introduced in Valorant following Gekko. Hailing from Norway, she joins the agent roster as the fifth Sentinel.
 

Abilities

As a Sentinel by nature, Deadlock's abilities are perfect for holding and reclaiming specific areas. If an enemy is coming from the side or from above for a sneaky play, she can determine everything just like other Sentinels.
 

GravNet (C): Equip a GravNet bomb. Fire to throw it. Alternative Fire to lob the grenade underhand. When the GravNet hits the ground, it explodes, forcing enemies caught within to crouch and move slowly.

Sonic Sensor (Q): Equip a Sonic Sensor. Fire to deploy it. The sensor tracks an area for sound-emitting enemies. If footstep sounds, weapon fire, or significant noise is detected in that area, it shakes the region.

Barrier Web (E): Attach a Barrier Web disk. Fire to propel it forward. After landing, the disk creates obstacles that block character movement from the initial point of impact.

Eradicate (X): Equip a Nanoteleporter. Fire to release a nanoteleporter pulse that captures the first enemy hit. The encapsulated enemy is pulled along a path of nanoteleportation and will perish if not released upon reaching the destination. The nanoteleporter capsule can be destroyed.
