Starfield Director Shared New Informations About the Game

Starfield is Bethesda Game Studios' highly anticipated game, and Director Todd Howard is revealing exciting details about it. The interview covered a range of questions, including accessibility features, fishing, music, the diversity of planets, and much more..

"While Starfield offers players many features, fishing in the traditional sense of casting a rod won't be present. (a nod to the fishing mod in Skyrim's 10th-anniversary special edition)"
Regarding the game's music, he commented, "The music in Starfield is incredible, it could be my favorite game music."


1000 Travelable Planets

In Todd Howard's interview with Kinda Funny Games, it was mentioned that Starfield planets would have different roles. Many of them would have resources but be quite barren, while approximately 10 percent would be capable of sustaining various forms of life. It was emphasized that each planet would be unique, aiming to encourage players to explore and discover.

All of these can be researched, and there are significant monetary rewards for fully exploring a planet. Since there won't be ground vehicles available, players will traverse on foot or through the use of a support pack (jetpack).

Howard stated that they wanted to provide players with the option to explore the planets and aimed to give them the freedom to choose where they want to go. He believed that this choice is crucial in a game of this kind

Game Graphics and Mission Design

In the game, we wanted everything you can do and all these things to look great and escape from the elements, people, spaceships, and planets we simulate. "Our mission system... I think what really sets ours apart is that all these missions are ongoing, we don't shut everything down when you start a mission."

Starfield will be released on September 6, 2023, for Xbox Series S/X and PC platforms. Additionally, Starfield will be added to Xbox Game Pass from day one.
